Join the brokerage where agents come to get better
I will be blunt about why agents leave their old brokerage for ours. Most broker owners fall into two camps. The ones who are all compliance and paperwork, and the ones who are simply out of touch with how this business actually works now. I am neither. I am the broker who is still in the field, still selling, and still teaching, and that is exactly what experienced agents are looking for.
Hands on mentorship, not a hands off split
When you join Welcome Home, you get me. Small group training where you actually learn, two full business planning sessions a year so you are building a business and not just chasing the next deal, and ongoing education on the things that move the needle now, including social media and how to use AI the right way. We train on contracts, CMAs, new construction, property management, and relocation, so you are sharp across the whole business, not just the part you fell into.
A lead program that feeds your pipeline
Relocation is the engine of this brokerage, and our agents share in it. We run a relocation training program and a round robin lead system, so the families moving here from Ohio, California, Oregon, and the Northeast become real opportunities for the agents on our team. You bring the work ethic. We bring the leads and the training to convert them.
Your first weeks: a lot of Laura
For your first two weeks, you are going to get a lot of me. I ask for at least two meetings a week. We talk about where you want your business to be and how we get it there, and then we break it down into daily activities, the things you can wake up and do every morning that actually move the needle. We build your schedule together, so every Monday looks the same and every Wednesday looks the same. That time is also how you learn you can trust me.
After that, we keep showing up for each other
Every month we hold an education class. I do not like to call them sales meetings. We learn something new, we talk about what is going on in the market, you get time with me, and then we have some kind of social. Sometimes it is an ice cream social at the office, sometimes we make grilled cheeses together. It is simple, and it is how a real team gets built.
Call me at midnight
The complaint I hear most from agents at other brokerages is that they cannot get to their broker. Brokers get tucked away in an office, caught up in bills and overhead, and agents are afraid to bother them. Deals do not fall apart at two in the afternoon. They fall apart at midnight, and when that happens I want you to feel completely comfortable calling me. My heart is for my agents, and I would hate for any of them to feel they could not pick up the phone.
One agent I am proud of
One of my agents came to me with years in the business and a great book of clients, but technology had always been a struggle for her, even e signatures. Her last brokerage promised her help, never delivered, and then criticized her for not knowing how to do things, so at first she was afraid to even ask me a question. I told her I would be right there with her. I have stopped in my tracks on a Saturday afternoon to walk her through something, and over time she learned she could call me about anything, from how a tool works to which addendum a contract needs. Her business is growing more now than it ever did before, and that is the part of this job I love.
The agent I love working with
The agent I love working with most is a mid level producer who is hungry to grow. Someone who wants coaching and business planning, and who actually follows through on the activities we plan. Yes, I give homework, and yes, I notice when it is not done. This is your livelihood, and I want you to treat it that way.
Who thrives here
This is a home for seasoned agents who want to keep getting better, and for the rare newer agent hungry enough to learn from people who have done it for decades. Most of our team has been in the business 10 years or more, and they stay because of the marketing, the training, and the support. If you are the kind of agent who would rather be the best in the room than the biggest name on a billboard, we should talk.
How it usually starts
Most of my recruiting starts with a good deal. When one of us has a great transaction with an agent from another office, I call to say thank you, and I usually ask them to coffee. Sometimes it takes a coffee or two and a lunch. If you would rather skip ahead, reach out and we will get that coffee on the calendar.
